Death of Abraham Flann 1749
Abraham Flann is not an ancestor but the youngest son of Thomas and Margery, and the youngest brother of Richard (d. 1740), our ancestor and William. These asides in the family tree are included for interest showing life at the time. He died in 1749 leaving all his property to his sister- in-law Elizabeth Collins. This seems odd as he had two sons alive at the time, Abraham Junior, and Matthew. Matthew apparently became a shoe-maker living near Dorchester.
The other son Abraham Junior, had a sad life. He married Margaret or Margery Andrews in 1759 and had five children. However in 1774 an epidemic struck; with the result all his children died within 26 days; a sad but a not at all uncommon event in those years.
In 1786 his father Abraham died, and his wife Margery inherited his house in Easton. A year later in 1787 Margery died also leaving no will. Letters of Administration were taken out and sworn by her three brothers.
